10.3 Custodial vs Non-Custodial Wallets
The key differences between custodial and non-custodial wallets and which type is right for your needs.
§Custodial Wallets
A custodial wallet is one where a third party (such as an exchange or platform) holds your private keys on your behalf. When you hold USDT on CryptoBazaar or any cryptocurrency exchange, you are using a custodial wallet.
The advantage of custodial wallets is convenience. You do not need to manage private keys or seed phrases. If you forget your password, you can recover access through the platform's account recovery process.
