4.7 Security Checklist for Every Trade
A step-by-step security checklist to follow before, during, and after every P2P trade.
§Before Starting a Trade
Check the trading partner's profile. Review their completion rate, number of trades, and feedback from other users. A completion rate below 90% warrants caution.
Verify that your own account has two-factor authentication enabled. This protects your account from unauthorized access.
Confirm that you are on the official CryptoBazaar platform and not a phishing site. Check the URL in your browser's address bar before logging in or initiating trades.
Ensure your bank account or UPI app is accessible. You will need it to verify incoming payments (as a seller) or make outgoing payments (as a buyer).
§During an Active Trade
Keep all communication within the CryptoBazaar platform. Do not share personal contact information or move to external messaging apps.
As a buyer, make the payment from your own KYC-verified account only. Send the exact amount specified in the trade.
As a seller, verify payments directly in your bank account. Do not rely on screenshots, SMS notifications, or verbal confirmations. Check that the sender's name matches the buyer's identity on the platform.
Do not share your wallet seed phrase, private keys, or account password with anyone during a trade. No legitimate reason exists for your trading partner to need this information.
§After Completing a Trade
Leave honest feedback for your trading partner. This helps build a trustworthy trading community.
Keep records of the trade for your personal reference, including payment confirmations and trade details. These records are valuable for dispute resolution and tax documentation.
If you notice anything suspicious about the trade after completion, report it to CryptoBazaar support. Even if the trade is complete, reporting helps identify patterns and protect other users.
Regularly review your account security settings. Update your password periodically and verify that your two-factor authentication is functioning correctly.
