1.5 How to Sell USDT in India
Learn how to sell USDT for INR safely on CryptoBazaar, including listing creation, payment verification, and escrow release.
§Creating a Sell Listing
To sell USDT on CryptoBazaar, navigate to the sell section and create a new listing. You will need to specify the amount of USDT you want to sell, your price in INR per USDT, and the payment methods you accept.
Set a competitive price by checking the current market rate and existing listings. You can price your USDT at, above, or below market rate depending on how quickly you want to sell. A price slightly below market rate will attract buyers faster.
Choose payment methods that you can verify quickly. UPI payments are typically the fastest to confirm, while NEFT transfers may take longer to reflect in your account.
§Verifying Buyer Payments
When a buyer initiates a trade against your listing, your USDT is locked in escrow. The buyer will complete their INR payment and mark it as paid on the platform.
This is the most critical step in the selling process. You must verify the payment directly in your bank account or UPI app. Log into your banking application and confirm that the exact amount has been credited. Check that the sender's name matches the buyer's name shown on CryptoBazaar.
Never release escrow based on payment screenshots, SMS notifications, or messages from the buyer. These can be fabricated. The only reliable confirmation is seeing the credit in your actual bank account.
§Releasing Escrow Safely
Once you have confirmed the payment in your bank account, return to CryptoBazaar and release the escrow. The USDT will be transferred to the buyer's wallet immediately.
Before releasing, verify these three things: the correct amount has been received, the payment is from the buyer's own account (name matches), and the funds are fully settled (not pending).
If any of these conditions are not met, do not release the escrow. Instead, communicate with the buyer through the platform chat. If the issue cannot be resolved, raise a dispute and CryptoBazaar's support team will investigate.
§Best Practices for Sellers
Respond to trade requests promptly. Buyers appreciate fast service, and quick response times improve your seller rating.
Keep your listing updated. If you have sold all your available USDT, deactivate your listing to avoid unnecessary trade requests.
For large trades, consider breaking them into smaller transactions until you have established trust with a buyer. This reduces risk for both parties.
Maintain a consistent online presence during your active trading hours. If you create a listing, be available to respond to trades within the specified time window.
Always keep records of your transactions for your own accounting and tax compliance purposes.
