8.4 How to Report Suspicious Activity
Steps to report suspicious users, messages, or behaviour on CryptoBazaar to protect yourself and others.
§What Should Be Reported
Report any activity that appears fraudulent, deceptive, or in violation of platform rules. This includes users who send fake payment screenshots, request communication outside the platform, pressure you to release escrow without proper verification, or attempt to use third-party payments.
Also report users who impersonate CryptoBazaar staff, create multiple accounts, post misleading trade listings, or engage in any behaviour that seems designed to defraud other users.
If you receive suspicious messages through any channel claiming to be from CryptoBazaar (social media, WhatsApp, Telegram), report these as potential phishing or impersonation attempts.
§How to File a Report
To report suspicious activity on CryptoBazaar, use the Report button available on the user's profile or within the trade interface. Provide a clear description of the suspicious activity and attach any supporting evidence.
Include specific details such as the trade ID (if applicable), the exact behaviour that concerned you, and when it occurred. The more specific your report, the more effectively the security team can investigate.
If the suspicious activity involves an active trade, you can raise a dispute simultaneously to protect your funds while the report is investigated.
§What Happens After Reporting
After you submit a report, CryptoBazaar's security team reviews the information and investigates the reported account. Depending on the severity of the findings, actions may include issuing a warning, temporarily suspending the account, or permanently banning the user.
You will receive a notification about the outcome of your report. However, specific details about actions taken against other accounts may not be shared for privacy reasons.
Your identity as the reporter is kept confidential. The reported user will not be informed of who filed the report.
