8.1 How Disputes Are Resolved

The complete dispute resolution process on CryptoBazaar from filing to final decision.

§When Disputes Occur

Disputes can be raised during an active trade when either party believes the trade cannot be completed normally. Common scenarios include the buyer claiming to have paid but the seller not seeing the payment, the seller refusing to release escrow despite confirmed payment, disagreements about the payment amount, or suspected fraudulent activity.

Either party can raise a dispute by clicking the Raise Dispute button on the active trade page. Once a dispute is raised, the escrowed crypto is locked until the dispute is resolved. Neither party can cancel the trade or release escrow during an active dispute.

§The Resolution Process

Once a dispute is raised, both parties are notified and asked to submit evidence supporting their position. CryptoBazaar's support team reviews the evidence from both sides, including payment confirmations, bank statements, chat logs, and any other relevant documentation.

The support team may request additional information from either party during the investigation. Cooperate promptly with any requests for information, as delays can extend the resolution timeline.

After reviewing all evidence, the team makes a decision. The escrowed crypto is either released to the buyer (if payment is confirmed) or returned to the seller (if payment cannot be verified). Both parties receive a detailed explanation of the decision.

§Resolution Timelines

Most disputes are resolved within 24 to 48 hours. Simple cases where evidence clearly supports one party may be resolved faster. Complex cases involving ambiguous evidence, banking delays, or multiple parties may take longer.

During the resolution period, both parties should remain available and responsive to requests for additional information. Unresponsive parties may have the dispute resolved against them due to insufficient evidence.

The decision made by CryptoBazaar's support team is final for the purpose of the trade. If either party believes the decision was made in error, they can appeal through the support system with new evidence.
